If I'm being honest, I really struggled with my entry this year because I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to write another winning entry. But I told myself that I just needed to write something that mattered to me. Regardless of winning, what matters is that I write what's on my heart. And this was on my heart. I hope you enjoy.
COYOTE SAYS SORRY WC: 50 Coyote drooled, licking his chops. “Sorry.” Rabbit slowed. Was Coyote really sorry? Coyote lunged. “Sorry!” He tackled Rabbit. “Sorry!” Opened wide to chomp... “Sorry!” He said the right word, But his mouth didn't match it. Until… He stopped. Closed his trap. And turned away. Rabbit finally believed Coyote was Sorry.
